Before I go into link wheels in a highly competitive niche, I will explain what needs to happen for any site to crack a highly competitive niche.

There are 2 types of links any link builder would be familiar with:

1. Base Links – E.g. Web 2.0 Properties, Article Submissions, Blog Posts, Directory Submissions, Blog Comments and Socal Bookmarks.

Base links build the foundation for any link building efforts and are done on an ongoing basis. Link Wheels fall in the category of base links.

2. Authority Links – These are links from Authority sites. Let’s say for example you have a site that is in the iphone niche, and you are targeting the keyword “iphone”. If you had a do-follow text link directly from Apple (which is impossible) that would be the ultimate authority link.

To crack any highly competitive niche a combination of Authority Links and Base Links are required.

In turn a link wheel is a fantastic way to build base links, which are a requirement for any highly competitive niche, however authority links are needed as well to crack any highly competitive niche.

I hope this helps you decide if a link wheel is suitable for you.

I was browsing on the net today and came across an article stating link wheels are now dead, so I through I should write a little bit about the subject.

So David, are link wheels dead? In short the answer is NO!

The traditional style link wheels (only made with web 2.0 sites and closed) however have lost a bit of there original power. This is why we updated our link wheels to include article submissions, blog posts, web 2.0 properties and a Youtube video. We also create a series of smaller wheels each with a break

Using our new strategy with a combination of properties, multiple smaller wheels and breaks guarantees you the ultimate natural link building pattern. This pattern is undetectable and will never “die”.

The link wheel concept is certainly not dead, it just needed to evolve!

If you are going to use somebody else’s link wheel services or build a link wheel yourself, we would advise you to use a link wheel strategy similar to ours.

Regards, David Pagotto

A link wheel is a group of web sites which link to each other as well as a “Targeted Web Site” and aims to boost search engine ranking…

A link wheel is a group of web sites which link to each other as well as a “Targeted Web Site” and aims to boost search engine ranking for given keywords. Let’s say for instance you have 10 sites in your link wheel:

Site 1 links to Site 2 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”
Site 2 links to Site 3 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”
Site 3 links to Site 4 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”
…
Site 9 links to Site 10 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”
Site 10 links to Site 1 and back to the “Targeted Web Site”

The “Targeted Web Site” is the web site in which we are trying to increase the rank for.

Generally (by our competition) link wheels are created solely from Web 2.0 Properties such as Wordpress, Webs and Squidoo, they are also built using a standard closed wheel style where not breaks are inserted. Although this method will still produce results it has recently lost a lot of its power and is not as effective as it once was.

The above is an example of a standard link wheel, however Link Wheeler has developed a new link wheel strategy which combines Web 2.0 Properties, Article Submissions, Blog Posts and a You Tube Video. This new linking strategy uses multiple smaller link wheels each with a single gap or break. This new strategy of ours guarantees “natural” link building in the eyes of all major search engines.

Here is an image of our link wheel silver package:

Note. We also create a You Tube video for your web site and use it throughout the wheel.

Our newly developed link wheel strategy will work for you because it produces backlinks that look completely natural and organic. Major search engines will reward your URL with a higher rank if they see you are building natural links.
